Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Manali – Self Exploration

Arrive in Manali and check into your hotel. The day is kept free for relaxation and self-exploration. In the evening, attend a detailed ride briefing session covering the route, safety protocols, and expedition guidelines. Prepare yourself for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 - Manali to Sissu to Purne

Ride Distance: Approx. 160 km Start early and ride through the iconic Atal Tunnel into the beautiful Lahaul Valley. Continue riding through remote Himalayan roads toward Purne, entering the untouched landscapes of Zanskar Valley. Experience dramatic terrain changes and breathtaking mountain views throughout the journey.

Accommodation: Homestay / Camps in Purne

Day 3 - Purne to Phuktal Trek to Padum

Trek: Approx. 3 km Begin the day with a scenic trek to the famous Phuktal Monastery, one of the most unique monasteries in the Himalayas, built into a cliffside cave. After exploring the monastery, return and continue your ride to Padum, the cultural and administrative center of Zanskar Valley.

Day 4 - Padum to Drang Drung Glacier to Padum

Ride Distance: Approx. 140 km Ride toward the magnificent Drang Drung Glacier via the high-altitude Pensi La Pass. Witness the spectacular glacier views and explore the surrounding rugged landscapes before returning to Padum for an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Explore Zanskar Valley

Spend the day exploring the hidden gems of Zanskar Valley with short rides around Padum and nearby villages. Interact with locals, experience traditional Himalayan culture, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this remote region.

Day 6 - Padum to Trilokinath to Manali

Ride Distance: Approx. 180 km Begin your return journey early in the morning via the scenic Shinku La Pass. En route, visit the sacred Trilokinath Temple, a revered pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Continue riding back toward Manali, marking the end of an incredible Himalayan expedition filled with adventure, spirituality, and unforgettable landscapes.
