An 8 Nights / 9 Days high-altitude motorcycle expedition through the dramatic landscapes and cultural heartland of Nepal, beginning in Kathmandu and travelling through Pokhara into the remote rain-shadow region of Upper Mustang, culminating at the historic walled city of Lo Manthang.

Route: Kathmandu → Pokhara → Muktinath → Upper Mustang → Lo Manthang → Marpha → Pokhara → Kathmandu. Total listed riding distance: approximately 890 KM.

Important travel & operational information

  • Payment: Full payment must be completed before the trip starts.
  • Travel insurance: Personal travel and medical insurance is strongly recommended, including evacuation coverage where applicable.
  • Riding protocols: Riders must strictly follow road captain instructions, single-file procedures, speed limits and safety procedures at all times.
  • Riding gear: Participants must bring their own riding helmet, riding gloves, armored riding jacket, riding pants, high-ankle boots and eye protection.
  • Driving licence: A valid International Driving Permit (IDP) / International Driving License is required along with the motorcycle driving licence.
  • Security deposit: The motorcycle security deposit is refundable subject to damage inspection. Riders may be charged for damage beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Route conditions: Road, weather and local high-altitude conditions can change without notice. The road captain reserves the right to modify riding arrangements for safety.

Rider eligibility

  • A valid motorcycle licence from your home country, plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) / international driving licence.
  • At least 21 years old, with riding experience.
  • Physically fit to ride long distances, and aware that the expedition involves high-altitude riding and remote terrain.
  • For expeditions above 3,500 m, a medical fitness certificate issued within 30 days of departure is mandatory.

Yes. For expeditions above 3,500 m, a medical fitness certificate issued within 30 days of departure is mandatory. Failure to provide it may result in cancellation without refund.
A non-refundable booking deposit of 25% of the total expedition cost confirms your booking. The balance must be paid before the trip begins; bookings made less than 30 days before departure must be paid in full. Prices are in INR; international guests may pay in USD at prevailing exchange rates.
Cancellation requests must be submitted by email. Refunds (excluding the deposit): 60+ days — 70%; 46–60 days — 50%; 31–45 days — 25%; less than 25 days — no refund. There is no refund for no-shows or withdrawal after the expedition begins.
Yes — a refundable motorcycle security deposit of ₹25,000–₹30,000 applies, refundable subject to damage inspection. Riders with less than five years of riding experience may be required to pay a higher deposit.
Yes. It must be legally registered, roadworthy and carry its registration documents. Brahmanic Trailss provides no insurance, maintenance or financial assistance for privately owned motorcycles.
