Overview

Zanskar is reached via the Pensi La pass from Kargil, dropping into a valley enclosed by two Himalayan ranges and cut off from the outside world for most of the year. This expedition rides through Rangdum's high plateau, past the Drang-Drung glacier, and into Padum — Zanskar's small capital — with visits to cliffside monasteries along the way. Remote, physically demanding, and one of the last true frontier rides in Ladakh.

Traveler Reviews

Arjun Deshmukh

The most remote riding I have ever done in India. Pensi La and the glacier were unbelievable. Not for beginners but worth every bit of the effort.
